If you are flying into the United States, generally you will be landing at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City. But once you step off the plane, you are still nearly 225 miles away from NYSMF in Oneonta! How can you complete the last part of your journey?
Here is one highly recommended plan that many of our international students have used successfully:
- AIRPORT -> PORT AUTHORITY BUS TERMINAL
After disembarking from your plain, take a shuttle bus to PORT AUTHORITY BUS TERMINAL in New York City. Several low-cost shuttle bus companies will take you directly into the station.
- PORT AUTHORITY -> BUS TO ONEONTA
Adirondack
Trailways (800) 776-7548 is the primary (and possibly
only) bus company that goes directly to Oneonta, so please contact
them for fare and schedule information. (Click for more information.)
- FREE PICKUP IN ONEONTA
NYSMF
offers free pickup/dropoff service to the Oneonta Bus Terminal,
located in downtown Oneonta. Please email us when you will
be arriving and departing, and we will make the arrangements.
Or just call our main office when you arrive, and we'll send
someone to get you pronto!
You may do the same plan, in reverse, to get home safely.
