Jessica Warner began her study of the oboe with Andrea Mather-Stow at the age of 10 in South Bend, Indiana. She made her solo debut at the age of 17 with the South Bend Symphony Orchestra.

Ms. Warner holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan where she studied with Dr. Nancy Ambrose-King and received her master's from the University of Texas at Austin where she studied with Rebecca Henderson.

In 2005 she was associate principal oboist of the Auckland Philharmonia, in Auckland, New Zealand. In Michigan, she held a position as principal oboist of the Pontiac Symphony for five years. Ms. Warner has performed oboe and English horn with many orchestras throughout the United States and abroad, including the South Bend Symphony, Marion Symphony, Plymouth Symphony, Dearborn Symphony, Austin Civic Chorus, and Monterrey Symphony Orchestra.

Ms. Warner attended the Bowdoin Summer Music Festival where she studied with Joseph Robinson. She spent three summers at the Aspen Music Festival and School where she studied with Jeannette Bittar and John Mack.

While living in Austin, Texas, Ms. Warner taught a large private studio of oboe students, and was a theory teacher at the Clavier Werke School of Music. She was also oboe faculty in 2008 and 2009 at the Longhorn Summer Music Camp. This summer will be her fourth summer teaching oboe at the New York Summer Music Festival. Ms. Warner currently lives with her husband Drew Leslie in Columbia, Missouri, where she works as a teacher and performer.
