PRISCILLA YUEN
Piano; Staff Pianist

Priscilla Yuen is currently pursuing a graduate degree at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY majoring in Piano Accompanying & Chamber Music under the tutelage of Dr. Jean Barr. She currently holds a full time graduate assistantship in the accompanying area and has been awarded the Lillian Miller Loos scholarship. She also accompanies the Eastman Community Chamber Singers under the direction of Patricia Alexander.

Originally from St. Louis, she previously received her Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance at the University of Missouri - Columbia where she studied with Dr. Peter Miyamoto. In Columbia, Ms. Yuen gave numerous recitals as solo pianist and accompanist.

She received scholarships and awards from the School of Music such as the Judith L. Lavin Memorial Piano Scholarship, the Jan Blankenship Memorial Piano Scholarship, and the Achievement Award in Accompanying. She has performed in master classes given by Melvin Chen, Claude Frank, Hugh Sung, and the Goldenberg Duo.

Priscilla Yuen served as President and Vice President- Ritual of Sigma Alpha Iota (Iota Lambda Chapter), and President of the Mid-Missouri Collegiate Chapter of Music Teachers National Association (MTNA). In the summer of 2009, she was a piano intern at the Quartet Program in Fredonia, NY directed by Charles Castleman.

She is currently the staff pianist at the New York Summer Music Festival (nysmf.org) in Oneonta, New York where she participates in numerous recitals as accompanist, soloist, and ensemble member..
