A native of Seoul Korea, Sangeun Han came to the States at the age of six and began her violin studies at the age of ten. Ms. Han grew up in Boston and attended the New England Conservatory of Music Pre-College division. She graduated from the Walnut Hill School of the Arts in Natick, Massachusetts.

Ms. Han went to the Juilliard School to receive her bachelor’s degree in music and then went on to Yale University on full scholarship to receive her master’s degree in music.

In between her degrees, Ms. Han took a year to play chamber music as part of the Rural Residency Program sponsored by the National Endowment of the Arts.

Since Ms. Han finished her studies, she has given recitals in Aspen, New York, and San Francisco. She has performed with the Jupiter Symphony, The Lyric Orchestra, Musica Sacra, and the Prometheus Chamber Orchestra to name a few. She gave a recital at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie where she was also a soloist with the Lyric Orchestra.

Presently, Ms. Han enjoys performing with the Sarasota Opera Company, and playing with the Florida West Coast Symphony. During the holiday seasons, Ms. Han enjoys playing for the homeless and the hospitals with her sister/pianist, Heidi.
