As one of the leading flutists in Korea, Shin-Jung Oh pursues her own musical world of flute with her uniquely bright and colorful tone. Over the years she has provided outstanding performances through her orchestral, solo, and ensemble works.

Critics worldwide have especially praised her for her sophisticated stage manner and unique musical interpretations . Her many featured soloist appearances include New York Barge Music Festival, the New York Radio Concert, KBS orchestra, Korean Symphony, Sofia Soloists Chamber Orchestra, Plovdiv State Philharmonic Orchestra, Rumania Bacau Philharmonic Orchestra, Zaporzhye Academy Orchestra, Daejeon City Orchestra, Daegu City Orchestra, MSM symphony, New Seoul Philharmonic, Academy Orchestra, SNU Orchestra, Daejeon Chamber, Police Orchestra and Seoul Flute Orchestra.

She began to be recognized as a talented flutist at early age by receiving Grand Prix awards at Yuk-Young music concours, Korean music association concours and Music monthly concours. In addition, she was also be honored by Dong-A music competition, Pusan music concours, and the MSM concert competition.

Educated at the Manhattan School of Music and Yewon, Seoul High School of the Arts, and Seoul National University, Shin-Jung Oh is currently the co-principal flutist for the KBS orchestra and the leader of the Seoul Flute Ensemble, Korean Flutists, and Ensemble Prisma. She is also a full professor at Inje University.

She has released two recent CDs: the first, playing a Mozart concerto with the Sofia Soloist Chamber Orchestra. The second, she is preparing with famous flutist and esteemed conductor, Mr. Ransom Wilson, who was also her former teachers.

Ms. Oh has also been appointed an official artist of Powell Flutes.
