Vito Chiavuzzo, a graduate of William Paterson University (BM '04 Summa Cum Laude) and the Manhattan School of Music (MM '06), is an increasingly sought-after saxophonist and woodwind player on the NY jazz scene.

Vito has performed from coast to coast throughought the United States as well as in Germany, Austria, Ireland, and Portugal. Vito Chiavuzzo has had the great pleasure of sharing the stage with musicians like Slide Hampton, George Coleman, Michael Mossman, Joe Magnarelli, Jim Rotondi, Jon Gordon, Steve Wilson, the New York Voices, Frank Wess, and James Spaulding.

Recently, Vito participated in a Grammy-nomiated album featuring Tom Scott and Eddie Daniels as a member of the Henry Mancini Institute Big Band. 

As an educator, Vito has given lectures and clinics on big band playing, sax section playing, jazz improvisation (beginning through advanced), and doubling on more than one woodwind instrument.  Under the tutelage of Chris Rosenberg, Vito participated in a small group concert/presentation introducing Jazz to young students in the Bronx. 

While working towards his Master's Degree at the Manhattan School of Music, Vito also taught weekly lessons at PS 280 in New York City as a member of the Educational Outreach staff.
