NYSMF offers several convenient ways for you to pay your balances:

  • Online using your PayPal account
  • Credit Cards (MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and American Express)
  • Personal Check (Only accepted until May 15)
  • Cashier/Bank Check or Money Order

For your convenience, below is an online calculator to help you figure out how much you need to pay. Simply enter the quantities of each item and your total will be given to you at the bottom of the chart next to “Your TOTAL” in the blue box.

Or, to obtain your current balance, please email our Director of Operations, Dan Spencer, for the amount. Write him at with “Email me my NYSMF balance” in the subject line. Please make sure to include the student’s name. This will ensure that your account is credited correctly. Thanks!

To use this payment method, you’ll need to sign up for a free PayPal account. When you know the amount you need to pay, following these instructions (make sure you are initially logged OUT of your PayPal account for these instructions to make sense):

  1. CLICK HERE to go to PayPal
  2. Next to “I’m paying someone in”, select “United States”
  3. Enter your monetary amount in the box below, and select “USD” for currency.
  4. After “My payment is for” select “buying something”
  5. Click “continue”
  6. On the next page, in the “to” box enter
  7. In the “from” box enter your PayPal email address
  8. Click “continue”
  9. Login to your PayPal account

On the next page, at the bottom of the page under “Email to Recipient”, there is a subject box and a message box.

In the subject box enter “payment to NYSMF for [student’s name]”

In the message box below enter the following information:

  1. The student’s full name
  2. Which session(s) the student will attend
  3. A complete list of all the items you are paying for, such as full tuition, private lessons, various special programs, festival bank deposit, instrumental rentals, etc.

When you are ready to submit payment, click the yellow “Send Money” button.

We can accept credit card numbers by phone, fax, email, or in person. For credit card transactions, call us at (855) 696-9763, reach us by fax (toll-free) at (866) 381-2106, or for email transactions contact Dan Spencer at Please include the following information in all credit card payment requests:

  • Student Name
  • Name on Card
  • Card Type (MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express)
  • Card number
  • Expiration Date
  • 3 Digit security code (last 3 digits on signature panel)
  • Billing address

You may send us a personal check for your payment as long as we receive it BEFORE May 15th. You may send us a cashier/bank check or money order at anytime. Please make out to “NYSMF” and mail to:
