Krassimir Ivanov > Bassoon
A Native of Bulgaria, Mr. Ivanov began studying the bassoon at a young age and when he was 18 he made his debut as a soloist with Pleven Philharmonic performing the Weber bassoon concerto. In 1992, Mr. Ivanov accepted the principal bassoon position in the Orquestra Sinfonicade Ribeirao Preto, Brazil.
Krassimir holds a Master of Music Degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, MA, and Artist Diploma in Bassoon Performance from Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, PA. He has performed in Bulgaria, Italy, France, Brazil, Mexico and USA.
Mr. Ivanov has been a faculty member at a number of prestigious institutions including The College of Saint Rose and Colgate University.
In addition to his prolific performing career, Krasssimir is also an accomplished artisan in the bassoon reedmaking industry.
