Conservatory-Level Instruction from Established Music Professionals


The instructors at NYSMF have hundreds of combined years of experience in private instruction, professional performance, and teaching at summer music festivals.

The NYSMF Faculty & Staff represent virtually every major music school in the country, as well as a large proportion of top professional orchestras and internationally renowned jazz ensembles from around the globe.

  • ADMINISTRATION
    Our Administration includes Executive Director Jungeun Kim from the faculty of the prestigious Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia; Dr. Robert Barstow, head of the Music Department at SUNY Oneonta; and Keisuke Hoashi, an established television actor from Hollywood, CA.

  • CONDUCTORS
    NYSMF's extraordinary Conductors include Charles Schneider, the founding Musical Director of the Glimmerglass Opera and Musical Director of the Catskill, Utica and Schenectady Symphonies; international recording artist Mike Holober; and Dr. Sherrie Maricle, Education Director of the New York Pops Orchestra at Carnegie Hall.

    Our talented Faculty, who give daily one-on-one instruction to every one of our campers, are among the top professional educators and freelance musicians in the world.

  • VISITING ARTISTS
    The Visiting Artist Series features internationally renowned soloists, chamber musicians, and orchestral performers from the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, and the New York Philharmonic. Students have once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to perform in free Master Classes and attend special performances with our Visiting Artists

  • COUNSELING STAFF
    The NYSMF Counseling staff include top performers attending some of the finest music schools in the nation, including Juilliard, the Manhattan School of Music, Oberlin, and the Crane School of Music.
